Hi I'm Logan Genduso

I grew up in San Diego. I am currently serving a mission in the Virginia Richmond Mission.

About Me

I am 22 years old and I love serving the people here in Virginia! I love playing music and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I grew up in a great home with parents who love and care for me. My father is not a member of the church, but is still an extraordinary example of being Christlike and having charity. I am grateful for my family and hope to mirror a lot of how they raised me and my brother in my future family. I have many hobbies which include but are not limited to playing guitar, singing, football, exercising, going to the beach, underwater basket weaving, etc. I worked as an instructor for kids at a self-learning center after I graduated high school. I attended a community college for 2 years before serving a mission and I plan on going to BYU after the mission. Shocking right?

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I've never felt any happier in my life. Knowing that I am a part of the same church Christ set up, with all the same priesthood auxiliaries and ordinances contained in the Bible, is a gift. Although, one must come to a knowledge of this on his/her own. Everyone has a point in there life where they make a choice for themselves. Growing up, I had it easy. My mother brought me to church and I thought it was just something she wanted us to do, so I respected that. The Gospel seemed so far-fetched to me as I got older, however. It seemed like a story book that I was being told to read, but had no idea why I needed to read it. Then life hits. You become more independent and realize that there was a power in the things you learned as a child. For me, I realized that power because I was lacking it. After high school, I chose not to follow the Gospel. That is how I learned that the Gospel is true. I learned it was true from the period in my life when I wasn't following it and I looked back at the period in my life when I was, even when I didn't understand why I followed it. After that experience I began putting that small seed of faith to the test by reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible, praying, going to church, and fulfilling my callings. My life has changed because of Christ and his Restored Gospel. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching other people what I believe. Sharing the gospel is a blessing and a privilege. It is my calling to share it full-time, as a representative of Jesus Christ. I aim to be the best me through continual progression in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The more knowledge I gain and apply, the happier I become.
