Hi I'm Chris

I live near Salt Lake City, Utah in North Salt Lake. I love anything active and fun. I'm a Mormon missionary.

About Me

I love running and wrestling and really anything else active. I love to listen to people and enjoy having engaging discussions. I am a senior in high school and I am preparing to serve a mission for the Church. I have been called to serve in Tampa Florida. I enjoy math and helping others learn. I enjoy mountain biking and playing pick up games of frisbee, tennis and baseball with my friends. Being outdoors makes me happier and helps me to feel more optimistic. I am excited to soon go on a mission and I can't wait to move onto my next stage in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was first a Mormon because I was born into my parents religion. As I grew up, they encouraged me to gain my own testimony and so I did so. I was baptized and have come to know of myself of the surety of this religion. I know God is my Father and that He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ to earth. I know that his Atonement enables me to repent of anything I've done, immediately. It's easily the greatest blessing in my life. I know because of Jesus Christ I can live with my family forever. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I gained that testimony through reading the Book of Mormon on my own. I love this book and it has taught me countless truths. I know that the the teachings of God, as contained in the Bible and The Book of Mormon are true and life changing. The temple has also helped build my witness of the divinity of this gospel. Going to the temple is a huge opportunity for me. The feeling of peace and comfort that is found in the temple is hard to get anywhere else. I cannot wait to go on my own mission and share my testimony with others. It will be a close second to the blessing of having the testimony myself. I know that by living the gospel of Jesus Christ I can return to live with him and I want to live my life more and more like him. This is why I am a Mormon. I invite you to learn how these truths can bless you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing my testimony often. In my ward, I served in the priest's quorum and had the opportunity to help the bishop with some of his goals regarding the quorum. I was also a hometeacher and loved bringing treats over to the family I hometeach. I love reaching out to people although sometimes I get nervous doing so. But I always enjoy it afterward. I am also a family history consultant and enjoy learning about my ancestry. My last calling was at my high school, I was on the seminary council. This enabled me to help make seminary more enjoyable for the students and work with others in the seminary. I feel like the best way I live my faith is showing people how excited I am about it and how happy it makes me. Some of my favorite things to do as a Mormon are attend the temple, read the Book of Mormon regularly and easily serve others in my neighborhood by finding connections in my home ward. Now the main way I am showing my faith is by leaving for two years on a mission to serve as a representative of Jesus Christ and teach his gospel to people in Tampa Florida who are looking forward to it. I absolutely cannot wait to get out and spend every day for two years devoted to the Lord and serving others.
