Hi I'm Alecia Osburn

I'm a retired Interior Designer, a mother of 4 and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I started my own retail business in my home for 6 yrs twice a year for 2 weeks . I would move the furniture out of the main floor including clearing out my kitchen cupboards and set up shop. I had many artisans from around Utah bring items to sell. Then when that got so big I found a retail location an Old Mill and set up a permanent Store full of all Interior Design items and furniture. During that time I went through a divorce and had to be free to raise my four children so after 4 yrs. I became a licensed Interior Designer. I remember my Dad saying okay let me get this straight, you now have no real pay day, no insurance retirement and no real pay day and you are going to go out there and hope that people will call you. I remember thinking I know it doesn't make much sense but I have something telling me to do this.

Why I am a Mormon

I can honestly say that The Lord has been my guide all my life. I was taught that if you do what The Lord asks of you then he will bless your life in ways that you cannot even imagine. He knows you and your life beginning to end and if you will put your trust in him and let him guide your life and never doubt that he know what is best. I did that and he moved me to a place that I knew nobody in the town except for who I was working for and that is where I meet my new Husband. We got sealed in the Temple and built a new home. We have had a wonderful life serving The Lord in whatever he needed us to do. We are now going on a mission to New Zealand. I read the Book of Mormon many years ago and I did what it asks you to do- to ask God if it's true and he gave me a witness tingling from my head to my toes and it's the truth I have no doubt because I have lived it.

How I live my faith

My parents raised me and my 1 sister and 3 brothers in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When I was 7 they called my Dad to be the bishop of the ward. Helping and watching over the congregation in our area it taught me many things. I was taught at a young age to pay tithing , go to church every week, and participate in callings always working together to help each other out. Especially not to date until I was 16 yrs old. Keeping the church standard of dress and upholding the word of wisdom. I waited for a missionary for 2 yrs and got married in the temple. I loved working with the young women programs and taught girls I kept in contact with all my life. As I moved around I was in the primary leadership and teacher and also the chorister in the primary. I have taught the adult women and of course put on and decorated many a church functions.
