Hi I'm Samuel Beeson

I'm a drummer and a pianist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born In Provo, Utah. I've been a member my entire life, but that doesn't mean that I didn't have my doubts. I came to know the church is true through faithful study of the Book of Mormon. I've played the piano since I was five years old. I also play drums. I played on the drum line at my high school for 4 years. I also enjoy eating, napping, and being with my family and friends. I was also Homecoming king. I have just been called to serve in the Australia Perth mission, and I'm really excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. I know, it sounds very unthoughtful, but I really know it is true because I have had the confirmation from the Holy Spirit that it is true. The same Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost that I have received from the keys of the priesthood being restored, which restoration of the priesthood can be traced back to Jesus Christ himself. It is through the Holy Spirit that I have come to know that Jesus is the Christ. It makes sense to me that Christ would have modern day prophets and apostles on the earth today. It makes sense that Christ would also visit the Americas as he did in the Book of Mormon in ancient times after his resurrection. I am a Mormon, because I have had mind and heart confirmation that this is the true Church that Jesus Christ had established on the earth in ancient times of the New Testament. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. He translated the Book of Mormon, and was obedient to everything the Lord told him to do. It is because of that restoration and the priesthood keys that were restored and that I am able to know and feel confident knowing that this is the true gospel on the earth, because of the Holy Ghost I received after baptism. I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

I do my best to spread the gospel to those who are willing and ready to hear about it. Whether it be to my friends who are already members, or to my non-member friends, I always try to help them come unto Christ. I bless the sacrament almost every week in my ward. As I have become familiar with the prayers, I have come to understand and know of the importance of the sacrament. I also administer the sacrament to those who are unable to partake of it at church because of physical limitations. Those are special times, because I get to go into their home and feel of the loving and sacred spirit that they have there. Every month I also accompany my Dad in teaching a few families in my ward. We teach them and check up on them. This monthly "hometeaching" brings not only the families closer to Christ, but my dad and I as well. Since I play the piano, I tend to play a lot for church gatherings. Whether it be during church or at church gatherings outside of church, like seminary, I feel the spirit.
