Hi I'm Rory

I was born in Idaho. I now live the Oregonian lifestyle. I am a Mormon.

About Me

From a highly recreational area, I love anything outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, boating, you name it. One of my passions is to dirt bike; endless mountainous country to explore on two wheels is what I call a perfect day. Shredding the slopes on skis or a snowboard is another outdoor activity that I love. Playing and watching sports or reading a good book are great downtime activities. One of my favorite things, though, is to spend time with my family. Currently, I spend my time as a full time college student.

Why I am a Mormon

Born into the Church and from a small town, I definitely stood out as I was one of four other Mormon boys at my high school. But it was my hometown that helped me to value my beliefs. With very few other students that lived the Church's standards, I had to be firm in what I believed. Though the standards set by Church were seen by my friends as "restrictions" and others not of my faith, deciding to hold true to these standards have blessed me in many ways, led me to be free of many worldly hinders, and opened up many more doors for my future. In a world of conflicting views and troubles, it is nice to have a foundation.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the most Christlike example that I can be. I do my calling with the best effort possible. I keep to my standards and don't lower them for anyone. I look to serve in any way possible. All in all, I try to do my best in all that I do. I try to share this wonderful truth that I have with others. I am also looking at the possibility of serving a full time mission and sharing the Gospel wherever the Lord needs servants.
