Hi I'm Ky

I'm rather un-extraordinary. I'm just another college student from Utah. But i have found so much peace because I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Special Education major in college who is so excited to teach some day. I love working with kids and especially kids with disabilities. They absolutely light up my life. I danced for a really long time and still love music and dance so much. I also really love to run, to hike and to do anything outdoors!

Why I am a Mormon

I can not pin point a specific moment in which I decided to be a Mormon. My life is, instead, a collection of subtle moments of peace, joy, strength, and love brought to me by the wonderful church I'm a part of. At horrible and low points in my life, the teachings of the church helped me to find a Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is our loving brother who doesn't wish to condemn the world, but who only wishes to save us from the difficulties and pain of life and help us to become better people and to reach our full individual potentials. There is an unparalleled peace in knowing who He is and an indescribable joy in His love. The more I have come to know Him and understand his teachings; the more I have a desire to do good and to love others more. I am a Mormon because every aspect of the Church helps me to know Jesus Christ and to live a life more like His.

How I live my faith

The most important way I live my faith is by serving others the way that Jesus Christ did. I have the opportunity every Sunday to study and teach a lesson to other members of my Church about how to live a more kind and Christ centered life for my Sunday school class. The principles I've learned by being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have also helped me to have a desire to serve my community. I do so by volunteering to tutor children of all abilities in reading, writing and math. I strive every day to treat my family, neighbors, friends and anyone I come in contact with, with love, respect and kindness.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Missionaries proselyte because they want others to also enjoy the blessings they've received by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Show more Show less
