Hi I'm Alex Taylor

You can always find me on the stage, singing, or I'm probably eating. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fun, loving, energetic person who spends his time performing on the stage in the spotlight. When I'm not singing or acting, I'm out making memories with friends. Piano has been my passion for the past 8 years. I've lived in Utah my whole life. I have been called to serve in the Washington DC South Mission. I am currently serving as a missionary for the church. I help others to come unto Christ and find the peace and joy that comes from the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to be raised in the gospel my whole life. But that doesn't mean I've always have known it was true. I had to find the truth myself. With consistent prayer and studying of the Book of Mormon and Bible, i have come to the knowledge that this is the true church restored to the Earth today. At times, I doubted myself and even fell away from the church. But with the help of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the atonement, I have been reborn and know that this church is true. Heavenly Father loves us and will always be there for us which has given me so much strength through my mortal existence. Because of Jesus Christ, I can start again, and again, and again, and again. No one is perfect but we are here to learn how to become perfect even as God and His son is. I am a Mormon because it has brought answers to my questions.

How I live my faith

I show my faith by obeying the commandments and doing my best each day. Being a theatre kid, it's hard to find people with the same standards as you. I show my faith to those I meet by sharing the light of Christ with others.Every where I go, I strive to be an example and follower of Christ.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Alex Taylor
We cannot fully comprehend the atonement and resurrection of Christ without understanding that there was an actual Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were the first children here on earth and were placed in the Garden of Eden. God gave them a commandment to not partake of the fruit from the tree of knowledge. Satan tempted Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, and they chose to do so. But, this was part of God’s plan. Because of this choice, they were cast out from the garden and God’s presence. This event is known as the Fall of Adam and Eve. Because of the Fall, we now experience physical and spiritual death, endure pain and sickness, and can now bear children. Before the world was organized, our Heavenly Father chose Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Redeemer. God knew that Adam would fall. God knew we would all sin and no unclean thing can enter into the kingdom of God. But we can’t atone for our own sins. Someone had to pay the price for us. Jesus Christ, a perfect, sinless man, made it possible for us to overcome the effects of the Fall. How? Christ would come to the earth to achieve victory over physical death, granting resurrection to every person who has been born or ever will be born. Mercifully it would also provide forgiveness for the personal sins of all mankind. Christ promises to forgive our sins if we will repent. As we rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ, He can help us endure our trials, sicknesses, and pain. We can be filled with joy, peace, and consolation. Show more Show less
