Hi I'm Janeia

I love to sing into an imaginary microphone and play outside. I'm not perfect, but Christ is; I love him and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to Southern Utah University for my first semester of college and plan on returning when I finish my 18 month mission in Georgia. During high school I earned my cosmetology licence and I'm now working in an African-American salon. I'm the youngest of seven children in my family and I love my family so much. With fifteen nieces and nephews (one more on the way!), I am a proud aunt; my favorite pass time is to play with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love being a covenant daughter of God. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be the church with the power and authority of Christ to make covenants and receive ordinances. It is the same church that existed in the time of Adam, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving those around me in the small ways that I can as a young nineteenth year old. I serve the eight to eleven year old girls in my church by organizing activities for their program. I love my friends and family in silly ways like making valentines for them or surprising them with their favorite treat; I also love them in more personal, meaningful, ways like doing their laundry or helping them take care of their needs. I live my faith by going to the temple, learning about my ancestors, and drawing closer to them. Loving others is a direct manifestation of the enabling power of Jesus Christ; the type and mount of love I desire to give isn't possible on my own! The atonement works in me and I am able to reach out and love in greater ways. President Monsen said that love is the essence of the gospel and Christ is our great exemplar. Our prophet is right! Everything I have faith in and learn about at church and in my study helps me to love others. Because of my Savior helping me, I am able to leave my home, family, carrier, and schooling for eighteen months to serve a mission in Georgia. I'll be helping others come unto Christ by teaching the gospel and serving. It's all about love!
