Hi I'm Anya

I am from Hyrum, Utah. I love life! I love to ski, sing, play the piano, swim, ride horses, and spend time with family & friends.

About Me

I am just like anyone else. I have likes and dislikes, exciting events take place in my life, challenges and struggles that I sometimes have to get through. I laugh, cry, love, smile, hope, and dream. I am going to college. I love to do all sorts of things. I love music. The piano is my best friend during the good and bad days. It lifts me up and helps me un-wind after a long day. Most can find me carrying a tune whether it is singing, whistling, or humming. I'm also a kid at heart when It comes to disney movies and songs. I was part of a swim team for 10 years throughout my childhood and high school days and continue to love the sport even though I don't compete anymore. I'm preparing for the London England South Mission. The temple is something I love regularly attending each week and it brings me peace in times of busy and stressful days. I love animals. I love dogs and horses and any other kinds of animals. My family owns three horses and we love to go riding them sometimes. Another thing that you can find me doing with a smile on my face is cooking. Desserts mostly but any food is a piece of art waiting to be tasted! The most important thing you should know about me and most importantly about you is that we are all Sons and Daughters of God!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Gospel of Jesus Christ is the true Gospel. I have been blessed to know since I was little that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is right. Recently as I have been attending college and moving out, I've had to gain a testimony for myself. It's easy when my parents were there to remind me to read my scriptures, pray, and go to church. As I moved out however, It became hard for me to know the truth. Praying with a sincere heart, I asked my Father in Heaven what was missing in my life. He made it known to me by the spirit that the church is true. I continue now to really read my scriptures, pray, and attend the temple. Those key things along with maintaining a strong relationship with my Heavenly Father is what helps me to know and keep faith. I know that the Gospel is true. Jesus Christ died for us and atoned for our sins so that we could make it back to live with him once more. I wouldn't be where I am today if Heavenly Father wasn't mindful of me but He is mindful of me and also to every single one of his sons and daughters. He loves me, He loves you. He has blessed me with a wonderful family, friends, and leaders that help me stay on the path of righteousness. I know the Prophet in the church today helps, guides, and directs us by the voice of the Lord. I know that this church is true. I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others. I strive to serve as Christ would serve. Having a Christ-like love is something that I want to try to have each and everyday. On campus, as I attend college classes, I try to look for those who need something. I try to reach out to them and talk to others. In my ward, I participate in visit teachings. I reach out to sisters in the ward by visiting them, talking to them, and letting them know that we care about them. Most of all, I try to show by example that Christ is really looking out for us and that He cares about each and everyone of us. We are his hands and we can serve those around us to live our faith.
