Hi I'm Lucas

I am a missionary for the church in the country of Georgia (საქართველო!). I have 7 siblings and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My full name is Lucas Hal Stout. I was born and raised in Hurricane, Utah, on a small family farm. I am the 7th of 8 kids. My family has a cabin on Kolob in Zion National Park and a ranch on the Arizona-Utah border. I play the guitar, piano, and can sing. I recently graduated from Hurricane High School as a 4.0 GPA student. I kept my life busy and full of extracurricular activities. I was the President of the local FFA chapter, as well as Varsity Captain for football and baseball. I am serving a full-time mission to the Armenia Georgia Mission, in the country of Georgia. When I return, I plan on going to college at Utah State University or Southern Utah University and go into hydrology or sports medicine (super opposite...i know). I plan on getting married in the temple. I was raised in the LDS church and have loved being able to have the gospel in my life since I was a child.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. Since day one, my life has been centered around the church. i was baptized by my father at age 8. i have strived to keep my values and morals to the level of being worthy to enter the LDS temple. there have been times that i was unable to keep my values and morals as high as i wished, and would slip up and sin. my freshman and sophomore years of high school were filled with those times. i wasnt sure of what i wanted in life. then in my junior year at a church activity, a church leader talked to us about the importance of the atonement and repenting of our sins. his words sparked something and from that day i tried to live a more christlike lifestyle. i took care of anything wrong in my life and prepared myself to become worthy of entering the temple and serving a mission. I am a mormon because i have had firsthand experience on how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ can help you overcome any trial or tribulation. i know that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins so that we can repent and become worthy to live in heaven again. i love this gospel and will do anything for it. i am excited to go on my mission to Georgia and hope to touch many lives so they can feel the same way i did when i changed my life around. the church is such a blessing in my life and i know it would be for anyone that looked into it. The Church is true! What else matters?

How I live my faith

The LDS or Mormon faith is based a lot on helping others and living selflessly. My church youth group has been apart of many service projects in where we help the elderly in nearby neighborhoods to clean up yards, chop wood, and make life easier to live. One of my favorite ways i live my faith is as a home teacher. Me and my dad are assigned to three families to stop by often and check in on them, share spiritual messages, as well as being there for them if they need assistance in anything. I have learned to love the families that I visit. Each family has a unique background and it is amazing to get to learn about them as well as become better friends with them. Now, i am privileged to serve the people of Tbilisi, Georgia as a missionary for the church, speaking the craziest language in the world. (გიჟია რა? მაინც მიყვარს ქართული!) I love the Georgian people and their culture. I love being able to preach the gospel.
