Hi I'm Parkie

I grew up in Florida. I started a Trading Card Club in high school. I´m a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Parker Hanson. In high school, I help organize a Yu-Gi-OH! club, headed a math tutor club and Quizbowl club. I thouroughly enjoy learning(A little wierd, but true!), and never pass up an opportunity to learn, especially about science and math. I currently am serving a full-time mission in Rosario Argentina, where I learn and grow stronger in the faith everyday. Before my mission, I loved to play videogames, hang out with friends, and as you might of guessed, play a trading card game originally intended for fifth graders. I also enjoy a nice jam session with others while I play the guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but never reall believed it. I went through the motions, never really caring about the gospel and slept during all of our Sunday meetings. I knew much of the gospel, but lacked a testimony. After a tragic event to a family in my area, I began to deny the existence of God. How could someone so loving allow such a thing to happen? Years passed by, and I continued to ignore the teachings of the gospel. Then as a dear friend passed through some trials, all the comfort I could offer her was a hug and a promise that God, the very God I denied the existence of, loved her and that she was his daughter. That she was destined for something greater. As these words flowed, rather uncontrollably, out of my mouth, I felt something that I never had before. I felt the spirit of the lord embrace me, I felt that my words were true. I began to pay attention and participate in the Sunday meetings, read the Book of Mormon, Bible, and other scriptures, and soon my nonexistent testimony grew. Now, here I am helping other people recieve there own testimonies In Argentina.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Rosario, Argentina. I have learned a new language(Even though both my parents speak spanish, I never did until I got here.), and teach many new people about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I study scriptures every day, and share our wonderful message with dozens of people I pass each day. I strive to be a wonderful example to those I know and meet. I´ve even cut my hair to live the mission standards.
