Hi I'm Linda

In a couple of weeks I'm going to serve a full-time temple mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I have 21 grandchildren. While I'm serving in the Philippines as a full-time senior missionary, I will miss five of my grandchildren's baptisms and the birth of one new grandchild. Despite this, I'm looking forward to working in the Manila Philippines temple and serving the people there. I love the Lord and the opportunity to serve and am grateful for the many blessings He has given to me and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have faithful descendants and have always had a love for the gospel; the prophet, Joseph Smith; and our living prophets. Because of my love of the gospel, I accept callings and enjoyed my three year service mission giving tours at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives direction to my life. I have tried to live the gospel as a young person by choosing good friends and being a good example. Marrying in the temple was important to me so I chose a righteous man who had the same goals as me. We were blessed with five wonderful sons. I loved the opportunity to stay home with them and be a full time homemaker. For us, it was important to have daily prayer, scripture study, weekly family home evening, and eating dinner together. I did my best to teach them the gospel through my actions. I also have had the opportunity to serve in many callings in the church. I loved working with children and teaching them the gospel and I had an amazing experience teaching adults in our Gospel Doctrine class. I have served in most of the organizations of the church but my favorite way to live my faith is by feeling the Spirit and doing acts of kindness as prompted by the spirit.
