Hi I'm Cassidy Delange

I grew up in Oregon. I'm an aspiring dental hygienist. I'm a future missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student working towards a degree in dental hygiene. After beginning my first semester in college, I discovered an interest in learning about the human body, so a health career such as dental hygiene seemed to be the perfect fit for me! I look forward to being able to serve people in my career every day. Aside from my studies, I love being in the great outdoors. Hiking and camping are two of my greatest passions. I love spending time outside with my friends and family. Besides my testimony of the gospel, my family and loved ones are the most important thing in my life, and those relationships are what make my life most meaningful. In the near future I look forward to serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Being a member of this church and patterning my life has blessed me in more ways than I can count, so I want to share this happiness with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has blessed my life in more ways than I can count. I was born to parents who are members, so I have grown up in the gospel. I grew up being taught to live the principles of the gospel, and when I live these principles and standards I feel happy because it helps me pattern my life in a way that is pleasing to God. Living in a way that is pleasing to God allows Him to bless me. I know that as I live righteously and make good choices I will be blessed with the ability to live with my family for eternity. God's plan for us is to return to live with Him in heaven, surrounded by our family. I love my family and am very close with them, so it brings me happiness to know that I can live with them even after I die. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me. I know this because of the plan that He created that allows me to return to live with Him and live with my family through eternity. He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and atone for our sins as he was crucified and resurrected. Because of this ultimate sacrifice I am able to repent and be forgiven when I make mistakes. This knowledge brings me happiness because I know that I can get back on my feet and try again when I mess up. It brings me comfort to know that my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ love me even in my imperfection. Christ also gave me a perfect example to strive to follow. Although I cannot follow perfectly, I feel closer to Him as I try my best, which brings a peace into my life. My religion doesn't just effect my life on Sundays; it defines my life. I love it, and as I live it every day I am happy.

How I live my faith

I like to serve in my community by participating in organized service projects through my church. Often these projects include creating care packages for various groups of people in hospitals or care homes, or doing maintenance work in local parks. Within my ward, I make monthly visits to some of the women. I like to make treats to take to them and share an uplifting message. I make sure that the needs of these women are met and help with any hardships they may be going through. As I serve these women, I have found that I have built lasting friendships with them.
