Hi I'm Michaella

I'm a Texan. I'm a guitarist. I'm a pre-nursing major. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm taking Brigham Young University - Idaho classes online so that I can also work part time in Texas as a nanny to three different families. My life is hectic, but I like it that way because there's never a boring moment. When the day slows down and I have some time to myself, I love to play the guitar or the piano, but most of the time I watch Netflix while simultaneously doing homework, crocheting, or painting. I also love to read while the kids I'm caring for take a nap. My favorite so far is "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand. I'm also preparing to serve a mission in Auckland, New Zealand on July 30th! I'm so excited to share the happiness the gospel brings and to help others to come to the straight and narrow path and feel the love that their Heavenly Father and Savior have for them!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but I choose to continue to follow this gospel because of the effect I've seen it have on my family and on myself. Although we're not always perfect, we love each other and believe in complete forgiveness. I also choose to be Mormon because I've felt the Holy Ghost testify that this is Jesus Christ's true Church restored to the earth. The Book of Mormon really does testify that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore and clarify many plain and precious truths that were lost in the Bible. I believe the Bible to be the word of God. As I've studied both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, I've seen how well they both compliment each other. I'm Mormon because the gospel makes me happy and allows me to perfect myself and share the love that God has with others.

How I live my faith

Every Tuesday I attend the institute class for young adults. I love it because I get great insight into the scriptures as the teacher teaches and students comment or ask questions. I also love it because I get to meet and interact with new people, plus there are treats! I also love the service opportunities provided through my church. The most memorable one for me was feeding children on a Saturday at a local elementary school who usually go hungry on the weekends because they don't have access to school meals.
