Hi I'm Emily

I was born in Mexico City, I love to draw, play the piano, eat pizza, and ready books. I am a Mormon

About Me

My favorite food is pizza, I love to watch movies and read books. I will be attending BYU-I were I will be studying biology and emphasizing in neuroscience. MY hopes are to one day be a doctor and help cure hundreds of people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a recent convert of the church and like most converts I was taught by missionaries and baptized. I knew I had always wanted something more spiritual in my life before I found the church. There was an eternal desire within me to find out where I came from, who I am, and where I was going. Eventually missionaries knocked on my door and next thing I knew I was having lessons twice a week with them. At first I was not sure what I was really getting myself into, I knew constantly felt the spirit around the members of the church and the missionaries, but I couldn't identify it. It wasn't until I sincerely prayed to know if what I was doing was right that I felt my heart sink and tear pour out of my eyes. I knew then that it was the spirit testifying the truth to me that this is His church and I was right where I needed to be. After that my concerns were gone and I felt truly at peace. My conversion was not easy, I struggled with so much adversity throughout it and still to this day, however I thank God everyday that I know I made the right choice.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I love to get ready for church and listen to the wonderful talks that people give. Church is 3 hours longs but it never feels that way because I am always so engaged in the speakers and teachers that there are. Right now I am currently teaching adults in the 3rd hour class and it's such a learning experience for me. Also every night before I go to bed I try to read from the Book of Mormon and end my night with a prayer to my Heavenly Father.
