Hi I'm Dallen

I am from Utah. I have been called to serve in the Resistencia Argentina Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing paintball, tennis, hiking, camping, and reading. I love being outdoors, and have visited many national parks with my family with Mesa Verde in Colorado being my favorite. I also like to learn, and I have enjoyed learning how to speak Spanish. I am interested in pursuing a degree in business.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and so have both of my parents. I've known of the gospel all my life, but that is not why I'm a Mormon. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I know that they live and that they love me. I know that I can be forgiven of my sin through repentance because of Christ's Atonement. I know where I came from and where I am going. This life is a test and a time for us to grow spiritually and become more like our perfect Savior. I know that families can be together forever. I love my family, and I want to spend eternity with them in the presence of God. I know all of this to be true, and the Spirit has testified of this to me. I find comfort in knowing that there is a plan for me. This is why I'm a Mormon. I have been truly blessed to have been born into a family that has taught me this gospel from birth to present. I am grateful to my parents for raising me the way that they have. They have helped me develop the testimony that I now have. I have decided to share this knowledge of the gospel with others by serving a full-time mission. I want everyone to know of the Plan of Salvation and to be able to spend eternity with those that they love. I believe that serving a mission will allow me to do this to the best of my ability.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every Sunday, and I look forward to feeling the Spirit that is present there. The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us how to become more like him and find peace and happiness in this life. I continually study the Gospel and strive to live my life in such a way as to always have the Holy Spirit with me. I want to be the best that I can, and I want to make a positive impact on everyone that I come in contact with. I am currently a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in the Argentina Resistencia Mission. I am sharing my testimony and the message of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone who will listen.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Through the scriptures we know that "no unclean thing can dwell with God (1 Nep. 10:21)." However, our goal on earth is to live our lives in such a way that we can return to live with God. We are all human, and, as humans, we all sin. To fulfill justice, payment has to be made for our sins, but we are unable to do so in our imperfect state. Jesus Christ was the only perfect human being to ever live on this earth, so, of all people, he is the only one who has no sins to be punished for. Jesus Christ mercifully atoned for all of our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. He made payment for all of our sins because he was the only one who could. All mankind may be saved and once again dwell with God because the payment for our sins has been made. However, we must accept Christ's atonement to make use of it. We do this by having faith in Christ, repenting of our sins, being baptized and confirmed, receiving sacred ordinances, and striving to become like him. Show more Show less
