Hi I'm Mitch

I grew up in Sandy Utah. I live with my wife and children in Riverton Utah. I own a video production company. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have always loved airplanes. From a very young age I have been obsessed and some people mistake me for a pilot. I specifically love military aviation both modern and historic. I attended Brigham Young University and I credit BYU for much of my professional success. I have worked for the same finanical company for 22 years and I am licensed securities pricnipal. My current position is that of facilitator and I love it! I love teaching and training. My measure for success is the success of those I teach. My career has been the best education I could ask for. My family is my first priority and everything I do I do for them. I have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. We adopted my youngest daughter and she is amazing! My oldest son is currently serving a LDS mission in South America. Both of my sons are several inches taller than me and I love them dearly. My daughters are amazing, caring, and loving gals. My wife is the most amazing person in the world and she has made me the person that I am today. My wife and I agree that our family is the most important thing in our lives and our highest priority. My wife is tall which makes sense because my 1st daughter is almost 6 feet tall! My greatest accomplishment in my life is my family. I feel very fortunate to be with my family to have a career in which I do what I love, teach.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I want to live with my family and my Heavenly Father forever. The mormon church is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today. Jesus Christ stands at the head of this church and there are Prophets and Apostles just as there were when Christ was on the earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the path to true happiness and allows me to find joy in everything that I do to serve the Lord. The Atonement is always a part of my life, not just for repentance, but to help me understand that joy is in everything good and wholesome. I have been given the Priesthood and I know that my Heavenly Father trusts me to administer to his children on his behalf. He has given me spirtitual gifts and they are all so that I can serve his children. One of the greatest gifts God has given me is agency so that I can know his will and find joy in carrying it out. As a Mormon, I have been given the opportunity to share the happiness I have found with others and this makes sense because I can't imagine keeping it to myself. I am part of a legacy that is eternal and I stand for what I know to be right.

How I live my faith

I was raised in the LDS faith. I participated in the scouting program and earned my Eagle Scout at the age of 13. I loved what I learned and realized that I am a leader. I had amazing church and scout leaders growing up including my father. My dad has been a huge influence in my life. His example of how he lives his life, treats my mother, and leads others has been an inspriation to me. I became a scout leader at the age of 16 and I have about 20 years worth of leadership experience in the scouting program. I served and LDS mission in Japan. My mission was an amazing experience and I leared the true meaning of service. I also learned the language and I know that it was through divine influence. I believe that through my service to my Heavenly Father in Japan he led me to my wife. I started my own family about a year after I retunred from Japan. After getting married my wife and I servied in the church in many different roles. We were in the nursery together and I really enjoyed working with the 2 year old children. Many of the kids that were in our nursery are now serving missions.....time really flies! I have been 11 year old scout leader, financial clerk, class instructor, and pianist for the chidlren...that one is my favorite! I really love music and how it allows us to feel the spirit of our Heavenly Father. Currently my wife and I are serving the young adults in our area. The young adults range from 18 to 31 years of age and they are awesome! We love being with them and serving them. This is one of my favorite church positions becuase I get to do it with my wife. Our family also does a lot of geneologoy and we love studying our ancestors.
