Hi I'm Dan

I'm fun, cool, kind, and quirky, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second oldest of seven children, oldest son. My Dad's creative, hip, and compassionate and my Mom's loving, practical, and culinarial (made-up adjective for culinary). I'm a mix of them both :) except for the culinary part. I prefer playing the guitar, riding a bike, or golfing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were (and are) members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and grew up attending the Church. It wasn't until I served a two-year mission for the Church in northern California that I gained a conviction that Jesus Christ restored His Church, which is called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, through His prophet Joseph Smith. This conviction came, and I try to keep it alive, by reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible, listening to and reading the words of modern-day prophets, trying my best to live what I read and hear, and praying for guidance and truth. I fully believe that anyone who seeks to know if the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to name but a few things, are true; God will impart an undeniable conviction to her or him. What joy will come to those who learn these truths for themselves--for then will they know the path Heavenly Father wants all of His children to follow to reach our best potentials and to return to His presence.

How I live my faith

I am the scoutmaster of my congregation's boy scout troop, which consists of about twelve scouts. I get to help them plan and organize outdoor adventures that facilitate fun times, survival skills, and camaraderie.
