Hi I'm Jonny

I grew up on a ranch in Spring City, Utah. I'm a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a musician. I've played the Saxophone for 6 years and I love to sing as well. I was raised on a ranch in a tiny town called Spring City. This has helped me develop a love for the outdoors and wildlife around me. I'm currently serving a mission in the Alabama, Birmingham Mission. When I return home in 2017, I'll be attending BYU Idaho to pursue a BA in Music Education. I love music, I love nature, I love family, and I love this gospel. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church. My dad was actually the bishop in my congregation while I was in High School. However, I have not always had a testimony of my own. Through so much of my life I fed off of the testimonies of people around me, especially my family. I didn't truly discover the light that the gospel brought into my life until I began to commit myself to serving a mission. It was a hard decision for me to make. I had so many good things going for me that I didn't want to leave behind. However, I am SO grateful that I decided to go! I know that this what The Lord wants me to be doing right now, and I know that I can make a difference in people's lives by sharing this amazing gospel. There is a joy that exceeds anything you think is happiness when you commit yourself to Jesus Christ. God loves each one of us, He has a plan for us, and He wants nothing more than for us to return and live with Him again. THAT'S why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to better myself every day. I study my scriptures and pray daily to increase my knowledge of the Gospel and to further develop my relationship with the Lord. I avoid things that will keep me from being able to have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion. There are many things that I still need to work on, but the important thing is that I am striving to become more like Jesus Christ each day.
