Hi I'm Ali Pitts

I grew up in Highland, Utah. I will be serving a mission in Argentina. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am eighteen years old, and a freshman at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I have four sisters who are my greatest examples.I am the most feminine in a house full of girls, and live my life in skirts and dresses. I love being around people and hearing their story; and believe there is good inside of everyone. I am an avid reader and movie watcher. I love to exercise and being outside; hiking, running, swimming. I grew up cheerleading and love watching sports. I aspire to start my own clothing line. I believe nothing is impossible, when you live what you believe. On Christmas Eve I received the greatest present I could ever get, a mission call to the Argentina, Posadas Mission. I have grown up in the church, and have family that has supported every decision I make.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior. The only way to become like our Heavenly Father is through him; his teachings, his demeanor. We must become like him and use his atonement to perfect ourselves. The atonement is real. We can not only become clean and worthy through its power but we can also be enabled and strengthened. It's through its power that we can overcome absolutely anything. Jesus Christ's burden is light, and I cannot make it through this life alone. This is why I continue to follow his gospel. His gospel is the strait and narrow, it is the path back to heaven. I know that the Book of Mormon is the most true book on this earth, and it is testifies of Christ and his role as the Savior on this earth. I know that Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of us personally, he is constantly in our lives, and everything happens for a reason. I have been through hardships and trials in my life where I have felt defeated and alone. But with stronger knowledge comes stronger faith. I know that God can do all things, but it is through his own will and his own timing that things will happen. He doesn't give us anything we can't handle and this is why everything, and I mean everything happens for a reason. He knows the higher plan. He has the entire perspective in mind. This church has changed my life, it is continual progression. I love that it pushes me to be better. I can't wait to share this message with people in Argentina, and tell them that they don't have to do it alone, that they can be with their families forever and that they can continually become better, that this life doesn't simply end when we die, but we can experience a taste of what true happiness is in the life to come if we follow the example and commandments of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to teach on a full-time mission.
