Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I live with my wife in kids in Northern Colorado. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a CRNA for a hospital in Greeley, CO. I love to mountain bike, stand up paddle board, snowboard, and explore the outdoors. I have been married to my wife since June 2002 (it gets better every year) and have four great (but crazy) kids. I grew up in SLC, went to college there, and have lived in multiple states in the U.S. I served a Mormon mission in Costa Rica.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church and when I was old enough to decide for myself whether the gospel was something I wanted to continue being a part of, I found that it wasn't. So, I stopped attending and focused on what I felt was important to me at the time, basketball. I was less-active for about 18 months. I finally decided to attend church again as I considered the possibility of serving a mission. All my friends were talking about going and I figured it was something that would make my parents happy. I started to attend regularly and took a mission prep class. For the first time in my life I studied the scriptures with real intent. I read passages from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other works of scripture, including conference talks of modern day Prophets and Apostles. Study, along with fasting and prayer, opened my mind and more importantly my heart to the Holy Ghost. I prayed for confirmation that my choice to return was right and that the Church of Jesus Christ was the true church here on earth. The Holy Ghost truly testified to me of these things, and I have been serving faithfully in any way I can since. I am most grateful for the eternal family, as I love mine dearly, and hope to all be with them now and forever more.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving however I can in my ward in Greeley. I have worked with the youth and taught Gospel Doctrine as well. I enjoy listening to the words of the Apostles at conference and am inspired to be more Christ-like as I try to principles that I study/teach in church.
