Hi I'm Margaret

I am a wife , a mother, a grandmother, a teacher and a friend. I have always lived in Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to five children and grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and they are some of my greatest joys. I have always enjoyed being a homemaker, crafting, cooking and taking care of my family. I have also worked as a part-time aide in an elementary school for many years. I helped children learn to read and come to develop a love of reading. Many of them came from very challenging backgrounds and I felt very grateful to be able to show them that someone really cared for them and wanted them to succeed. I enjoy reading, gardening, family history, music and projects in my home, and, most of all, spending time with my awesome husband and our family,

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church for all of my life, and there has never been a moment when I didn't know of it's truthfulness. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that If I do my part and follow His teachings, I will be able to live forever with Him and my family. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon for our benefit to guide us through this life. I come from a long line of valiant ancestors that joined the early church and crossed the plains to find freedom to worship as they pleased. President John Taylor, my great-grandfather, was one of these ancestors who sacrificed everything they had to be able to worship freely. He was the third President and Prophet of our Church . I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living Prophet on the earth today, and that he leads and guides us through inspiration from our Heavenly Father. I am grateful that as we raised our children, we had the guidance of the scriptures and the words of our Prophet to help us through the trials and challenges of the world. My testimony gives me joy and peace each day as I try to make good choices and be a good example to those around me.

How I live my faith

Through my years, I have worked with very young children in the nursery, with older children and with the youth. I have taught them weekly, gone on outings and planned and carried out activities with all of these groups, I have also served, in many capacities, with women in our wards. I have planned and carried out countless meetings and activities involving dinners and socials, crafting projects and service projects for the community. I served as the leader for our women's organization on two occasions. I gained great appreciation for the talents and gifts of the women of the ward. I have enjoyed many wonderful relationships with women that I have visited and been visited by. My husband and I are leaving our home soon, to live in Germany for 18 months, to serve as missionaries for our church. We are happy and excited to begin this great adventure.
