Hi I'm Darleen Z.

I was born and raised in Kentucky. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. After following my husband who was in the army for 20 years, we returned to Kentucky to raise our family on a baby farm. I love to read, enjoy sewing, crafting and working in a flower garden.

Why I am a Mormon

With two small sons, my husband and I started looking for a church to attend. Over a period of many months we attend several denominations and never felt welcomed or at home. While helping new neighbors with childcare due to the mothers illness, we were introduced to the church and were invited to attend a Sacrament Meeting. The minute the meeting started, we both had the feeling that we had come home. It was amazing. Lots of squirming children and crying babies but we felt the spirit so strong and we started taking the discussions. Several months later we were baptized and our lives were never the same. It has been a wonderful journey, one that we have never regretted. No matter what trials have come our way, the knowledge the gospel has given us has helped us along the way and always brings us peace.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday. I am a den leader for the 8 year old wolf scouts. As a Visiting Teacher another sister and I visit four women from our congregation and try to be of any help to them we can. I volunteer twice a month at our temple in Louisville and receive great joy there.
