Hi I'm Dalton Mann

I'm a student at BYU. I love business and science. I love to be active. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just finished up my freshman year of college. I am studying Genetics and Biotechnology with an emphasis on Bio Business. I started learning Jui Jitsu this last year, and have really enjoyed sparring with friends at college. I was a wrestler in high school, and enjoy hard work and competition. I love to ski, wake-board, and golf. I truly love school, and can't wait to get back into my studies. But before I start my sophomore year of college, I am taking two years of my life to serve my Heavenly Father as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church. I have grown up my whole life attending the Mormon church meetings, going to activities with other Mormon youth, and doing service with my Mormon friends. Though I started as a Mormon because I was born to parents who were active church goers, I remain a Mormon because I truly believe that this church brings happiness to all those who come in contact with it. The standards of our church can at times be difficult. Almost every Mormon will at some point in their life face some kind of ridicule and persecution. But the joy that the Spirit brings when you try to align your will with your father in heaven's makes up for all discomforts you may face. I am a Mormon because I know that this Church is true, and will bring more peace and joy than any other organization on this earth.

How I live my faith

In my ward while I was in college, I was what was known as a Family Home Evening Father. Family Home Evening is a program in my church where families, or other groups of people, gather on Monday nights to pray, do activities, serve, or learn about the gospel. It was my job as the FHE Dad to work with the FHE Mom to prepare fun and engaging activities for our "family" of college students. I also was to look after those in my "family" to make sure all was going well in their life. In addition to FHE Dad, I was called to be a Home Teacher. My college roommate and I had the responsibility of looking after a few rooms of the young women and young men of our ward. We had the opportunity to serve the people that we home taught, and to help them with any trials that they were facing. Now, I have moved back home from college. I now have the responsibility of going and being a Full-Time Missionary. I am giving two years of my life to go out and teach the message of the restored gospel to those in Irvine California.
