Hi I'm Jefferson

I'm a P.E./Social Science teacher, coach and husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am studying to become a teacher and coach. I enjoy kayaking, basketball, hiking, and Christmas time. I am married to a beautiful red head who I love very much. Yes they have souls! My experience in college has been a wild ride that has taught me a lot about myself. I love to test myself and try new things (except sea food) because i feel like I grow every time I learn something or acquire a skill. I'm up for almost anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the peace I feel. It seems like when I am living the standards and teaching of the church I am in the right place. By following the teachings of this church I've been able to develop (when I put enough effort) a relationship with God. That relationship has helped me find purpose and peace in my life and has given me some of the sweetest feelings that i've ever felt, especially when my wife and I were married in the temple. I felt a strong sense of responsibility and trust...almost as if God was saying to me, "I love my daughter very much so you'd better take care of her." I know that I have a relationship with God and I know how to make it better ever day.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in my ward, specifically the teenage boys. They can be feisty sometimes and definitely keep you on your toes. I love providing opportunities and experiences for them to grow and experience new things. I get discouraged from time to time because I don't always feel like I am making a difference or impact in their lives but I try to have faith that my efforts aren't being wasted. I just try to love the boys and that is all I can do. As part of my calling I feel that my example is very important. I want to be someone the boys can look up to as an example of a good man who is trying to follow Jesus Christ as best he can. I don't try and be perfect but I do want to be my best self.
