Hi I'm Sister Mawae Mollena

I'm a Hawaiian, a daughter and child of God, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a person who enjoys poetry, the art of expressing one's self. I love adventure and the outdoors; exploring nature and just breathing it all in. Music and dance is my passion. I'm an overachiever who seeks success in every aspects of life. I'm the type of friend who you can put your trust in completely, someone who can be there for you and stand by your side through thick and thin. I am a woman of faith who devotes time and effort into serving others with genuine love. I'm an eager student who is willing to take on challenges whether in school or in life. I am an individual who think of others before herself, with a heart so big I can't even describe it. I desire eternal happiness for not only myself, but for others as well.

Why I am a Mormon

You know, being born and raised in the gospel I really took it for granted. I know the truths about Jesus Christ and how we have prophets in these latter days to guide me safely home to my eternal Father in Heaven. But at a teenager, I went through some obstacles that led me down a path that brought my spirit down. But as I found my way back to church and fully understanding the power of repentance, I realized that sometimes we do make mistakes but we have to confront it now and strive to make better choices. I know that the Savior never leaves our side even though we may think we are alone. I know that this gospel is true and that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and he wants us to be happy. And the only way we can truly be happy is by being obedient to the commandments set before us and endure faithfully to the end.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means to daily develop my knowledge of Jesus Christ and the truthfulness of its' restored gospel and principles. I do that by continuous diligent prayer and scripture study, family home evening, family study and prayer, and also holding callings in my ward. In the past as a primary student, I learned to give talks, sing songs, and learn about Jesus Christ and how I can live it through my daily living. From there, I went on into my youth where I held callings such as being a young women's president, secretary, and counselors in all age group. And now, I am a visiting teacher to my fellow sisters, being that light for some and a great examples for others. Always shedding light to those in need of it and giving service with compassion and love.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Sister Mawae Mollena
We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by coming to know the Savior through sincere prayer, diligent scripture study, and pondering on the things which you have seen and read. The spirit will manifest truth unto you and lead you to know what is true. How I personally increased my faith in him are by going to church and learning of him through ensigns, new era, lds.org, listening to mormon messages, going to mission prep, and also by going to the temple. Gaining a testimony is key to having faith in Jesus Christ. We only need to start with a desire to know of him and by trusting in the Lord will he provide a way for you to learn, understand and grow spiritually. Show more Show less
