Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a grandma and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have moved several times in my life. After high school I went to college and after that I was in the Peace Corps in the South Pacific. I met and married my husband in Hawaii and we have lived in Utah and Minnesota. We served a mission in Texas and now we live in Virginia with our grandchildren and their parents. Soon we will serve another mission - this time in Montana. Not exactly the norm for my generation, but the Lord's hand has been in it. And I have met and grown to love many wonderful people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and received a witness that it is true. Since that time in my late 20's I have learned many other eternal truths, but the Book of Mormon was the best place to start my conversion. For over 40 years now I have used it as a manual for living and teaching my family.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ by loving and serving others. The service I give now as a grandma is the best! I love it when I can talk and play with my youngest granddaughter during the day. Then there's lot's of excitement when her two older siblings come home from school and I am privileged to help with home work and projects, sing along with their piano practice, teach them to cook and sew, and finally listen to them recount their favorite Book of Mormon stories before I sing them a bedtime lullaby
