Hi I'm Carter Harrison

I grew up all over the country, but Georgia is my home. I am a student at Utah State University. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have always been particularly found of outdoor activities. I love to fish and hike! I absolutely love any sport, but my favorites are baseball and football. In high school I played clarinet in the marching band, swam on the swim team and also played baseball. I am the oldest of three kids, with a younger sister and brother. I am currently a freshman in college, and I love everyday of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. It is a very essential part of who I am. I grew up in the church just like my parents and I was taught the principles of our faith starting at a young age. However, I never really my found myself engaged in being a "Mormon" or trying to understand what that meant. For most of my life I really struggled with my testimony. Most of my friends would bear testimony that they "knew" the church was true, and I couldn't understand how they could say such things because I didn't know. But I wanted to know. However, despite that desire I never acted on it. I started to prioritize other things in my life and as I grew older my testimony never changed. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I really started to reevaluate some of the choices I had been making in my life. I realized that this gospel is a gospel of action, and that if we expect our Heavenly Father to help us we must put in every effort we can. I started to read from the Book of Mormon and praying with the real intent of my heart, I began to feel the love my Heavenly Father had for me. I began to notice how much of an influence He had on my life and how much He truly cared about everything I did. I began to feel the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost and the peace it's companionship brought to me. I began to know the importance and blessings of the Priesthood in our lives. And I began to know the church is true. Although my testimony is not perfect and is incomplete, I can say without a should of doubt that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is Christ's church and that it is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and was written for our day. And I know we are children of a loving, caring Heavenly Father. A Father who loves us so perfectly and so immensely He gave us His son, the Savior Jesus Christ, who would save us from every fall, every heartache and every pain we would ever experience in this life. That is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I try everyday to live like Christ did by being kind and loving to those around me. I also try to spend as much time as I can with family and friends. I read everyday from the words of ancient prophets, in the Book of Mormon and Bible, as well as the current prophet and try to implement their counsel into my life. I am also serving the Lord as a missionary in the Orlando, Florida mission!
