Hi I'm Jared Ray

I grew up in the city of Spanish Fork, Utah. I am a pianist, soccer player, adventurer, and ping pong amateur.

About Me

I was able to serve the Lord for 2 years of my life in North Carolina. I play soccer, ping pong, basketball, and the piano. I love to write music, and I have been doing it for a couple of years. I'm the youngest of five of a loving family. Many of my favorite moments have been spending time with my family. I'm currently studying at a university and working towards my Bachelor's Degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the teaching and constant focus on Christ allows me to feel more of His love in my life. Every time I go to church, I feel rejuvenated, and a special Spirit that stays with me throughout the week. I know that in the temple and at church I find refuge from the crazy things of this world. I personally feel being a Mormon has given me much more than I ever could give back.

How I live my faith

I believe that as we strive to be like our Savior Jesus Christ we are able to best live our faith. I pray that I will be able to hold on to the very end through constant effort to serve, love, and support those around me. My faith in Jesus Christ has allowed me to feel more fulfilled in this life, and brings me a hope things will work out in the end. In essence, how I live my faith is always making sure that I'm showing I'm showing charity to all around me. "The best way to valiantly testify of Jesus is to become steadily more like him, and it's that consecration that carves out the emulative character." -Neal A. Maxwell

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jared Ray
Jesus Christ suffered for the just and the unjust in life. Since we have entered into a fallen world due to the fall of Adam and Eve. "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." (1 Cor. 15:22) The Atonement of Jesus Christ provides us redemption from our sins. It was through a perfect sacrifice that we all may be able to reconcile with our Mediator through sincere repentance. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23) I know that sin weighs us down from the glory of a perfect God, but having One who can step in and say, "Father, I know that Jared has made some mistakes, but I've suffered for all that he might be glorified." The Atonement of Jesus Christ even that it applies to all of humanity, is comprised of His suffering on the cross, suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, and His glorious and perfect resurrection. I know that we will be able to be resurrected through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and we will be glorious with perfect bodies one day. This is the promise by our Father in Heaven. As we keep the commandments of God, we will be able to retain a remission of our sins. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Jared Ray
Faith is a word of action, and a word of power. As we have faith in Jesus Christ our relationships will improve. Faith will be able to change one's heart, and redeem broken relationships. I know that success in family relationships is through the proper exercise of faith in Jesus Christ. As we act of the faith, we strive for a higher cause, and that cause will allow for a higher standard of living. When we act upon our faith we feel a tremendous power in our lives, even a binding power within relationships. I've seen the power of faith within my own family, and I know it's a true principle of successful relationships. Show more Show less
