Hi I'm Kristie

I grew up in Colorado. I love hiking, snowshoeing, fishing and everything else in the mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing sports and I love music, especially singing and playing the piano. I am currently a student at BYU and I'm about to leave on a mission to Finland!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know we have a loving Heavenly Father that sent us to this earth for a purpose. He hasn't left us in the dark, but provided us with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ to use as a road map on our journey back home to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I have made the decision to put my life on hold and leave everything I know behind to serve an 18 month mission in Europe. I am so excited for this opportunity to serve others and teach them about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has brought me so much freedom and happiness in my life I can't help but want everyone to experience that as well.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Kristie
Baptism is an essential ordinance to your salvation. During times of apostasy the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was not on the earth. Meaning that the proper authority from God required to preform the ordinance was not on the earth. Heavenly Father loves all of His children and gives everyone the opportunity to accept or reject his gospel even those that do not get that chance while living have the opportunity after they die. Baptism is a physical ordinance that requires a body so people preform proxy baptisms for those that have passed on before and not had the opportunity while living. Show more Show less
