Hi I'm Stephanie Layton

I grew up in Mexico city. I'm a nursing student. I love to play the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student, going into nursing school, and currently work as a nurse assistant for a home health care company. I grew up in Mexico for 12 years and consider it my home. I love spending time with my family and friends, playing the piano/guitar and obsessing over TV shows. (Specifically Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Breaking Bad and Family Guy). I am also about to leave on a mission to Retalhuleu, Guatemala from May 2015 - Nov 2016.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is how I was raised. But not only that, I have grown to love and believe in this church and gospel. Through its teachings and practices, I have been able to come to know God and seek His guidance in my life. I have been able to ask Him if the gospel principles I have been taught are true and have felt the answer that they are. I have drawn closer to my Heavenly Father by living the teachings taught in the Mormon church and have felt the love of God in my life. This has motivated me to be the best person I can be and I strive to share that love with others and serve as Christ did. I love this church, I love to live it and, most importantly, I love my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ every day. This includes going to church on Sundays, studying the scriptures, praying and following the example of Jesus Christ in my life. I try to show love to others the way Christ did. If there is one thing that I am most confident about in my faith, it is the fact that God loves each and every one of us completely and absolutely and, by recognizing this, we can find more happiness and fulfillment in life than we could ever imagine. I have found this through being active in the Mormon church - it helps me be the best person I can be and brings me closer to God. I feel incredibly grateful for the life He has given me and try to show gratitude by striving to be a witness of His love for all of us as His children on Earth.
