Hi I'm Simon Kenchington

I'm from England. I love sport and eating. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 19, have 5 brothers and sisters. I like playing football, rugby, basketball, volleyball but my favourite sport is american football. I finished school and then worked for a year at McDonald's to save up money to go on a mission. I hope to study economics after my mission in New Zealand.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me such happiness. Growing up as a Mormon my parents taught me good principles which gave me a good start in life. But as with every religion I had to find out for myself if what was true. It was through studying the scripture especially the book of Mormon and praying about it that started me on my path to knowing. My answer didn't come all at once but gradually I've learnt through continual study and prayer. A scripture that also helped me was John 7:17 from the bible which said to me that if i want to know what is right I should try and do it and I will find out if it is right. That really does work I know that, by doing my best to keep commandments I have come to know that this church is true. That Joseph Smith restored the church Jesus Christ organised back again onto the earth and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God written for our time and day. I know that the Saviour lives and loves us all, I know that He died for us and because of this we can get back to live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

As a member in my local church I play the organ for our services. I don't think I've ever played a hymn all the way through perfectly despite playing for a while but I love playing the organ and piano and hope those listening enjoy it just as much. I also teach a lesson in church and help out with the missionary work in my home area.
