Hi I'm Randy

I was born and raised in Idaho. My wife Sherrie and I are going on a mission in March to the Wyoming Mormon trail mission.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small south eastern Idaho town. I entered basic training for the Idaho national guard about 2 weeks after graduation from high school. When I returned home I worked a few different jobs, met and married my best friend Sherrie Porter. I started working for the church of Jesus of Latter day Saints as a mechanic, and drove bus part time for our local school district. Sherrie and I raised 4 children, one boy and three girls who we love and are very pleased with. We loved camping fishing hunting and other sports together and still do those things together. Sherrie and I love to support and follow our 8 grand children in their activities. We will soon have grandchild # 9 and we are excited about that. One of my most enjoyable sideline activities was to officiate high school sports with volleyball the most common. I officiated for over 40 years. I love wife and family, and appreciate their support to make me a better person.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, so like Nephi ( from the Book of Mormon) I was taught in the ways of my father and Mother. When I was a teenager I started the process of finding out for myself if the Gospel of Jesus Christ was true. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me the Book of Mormon is True as is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The blessing of the Holy Priesthood is the way back to our heavenly father, by the grace of our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep the commandments our heavenly father has given us .I have three families that I visit each month and leave a spiritual message with them. I have been very active in youth sports for many years, I love to see the integrity so many of the youth have. I have a small shop I do repair work and welding for friends, neighbors and family members. I try to do service others, I believe that service brings more happiness to me than those I serve.
