Hi I'm Sherrie

I was born and raised in Idaho. My husband and I will start serving a mission at the Wyoming Mormon Trail mission in March.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a Mormon. I have four children and eight grandchildren,(soon to be nine)! I retired a few years ago as a teacher's aide in the Resource Room for 30 years working in the high school, junior high school, and elementary school during that time. Before my children were born I was a secretary at the high school and at Utah State University.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who also loved being Mormons and they taught me the truths that meant so much to them by their example. They instilled in me great values and the importance of standing up for what I know is right. Because of this I have chosen to continue living the gospel and my testimony increases as I try to share it with others and learn more. I love the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. I have been very blessed to have a wonderful, supportive husband who was also raised in this church, and we have a son and three daughters who constantly bring joy into our lives. Grandchildren are an added bonus! I am happy that families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings in my ward over the years. I have enjoyed teaching the 12 to 18 year-old girls on Sundays and helped to plan and participate in many weekday activities and have gone camping several times with them. What a rewarding experience to watch them learn and grow over the years. Working with the younger children, ages 3 to 11, has also been a great love of mine, especially teaching them new songs and the wonderful feelings and messages in those songs. Recently I was able to join in the fun of leaning scouting principles with the boys, ages 8 to 11. In all of these assignments I feel that I learned and grew more than those I was teaching!
