Hi I'm Bryan V

I'm a jack of all trades, I love to cook as I share my talents literally; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm developing my talents through many hobbies and interests. I love to cook, read/write poetry, photography, theatre/stage tech, sports, collecting, building etc. As I've learned to grow past what people project I'm incapable of I've grown closer to Christ. I haven't gown up ideally to most, but I grew up perfectly to how I needed to as I'm learning to challenge myself. I'm now serving a full time mission where I seek to serve others and help them come into Christ. I've learned different things not only that I can do but of who I truly am. I love to share my cooking with those I meet and challenge my ability to improve.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have always known it's true. Though I often felt alone so I began to seclude myself from others. Though I always clung to the gospel to help me. A verse Joshua 1:9 is what truly helped me. It not only confirmed my testimony but it helped me realize I/we are never alone. "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." With that I used my interest in poetry to express myself and help dispel any fear or sadness away. It was an outlet. Now I use it to share what I know to be true as a form of art. I'm a Mormon because I know the truth of who God is and our relationship to him. We are all his children whom he loves. I know of God's love and how he will never leave us alone. That is why we have the Book of Mormon, that is why we have prophets. A man called by God to lead his church and people through the confusion of the world. I'm a Mormon because I know and have felt the confirming love of our Father in Heaven through his Holy Spirit. Through that it has testified to me that what I'm doing, my path is where I need to be.

How I live my faith

My knowledge isn't perfect nor am I. Though I live my faith by trying to be an example to those I teach and inviting all to come unto Christ. I'm serving a full time mission in the Oregon Salem Mission where I help people be "Built Upon The Rock."

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Bryan V
The atonement not only did it make it possible for us to progress, it made it possible for us to never be alone. Through the atonement Christ paid a debt we could not. Along with that he took upon himself the pains and afflictions of the world. Christ knows everything we go through because he also went through it. He did it because of his love for each and everyone of us. We are never alone, Christ knows and is there. As we walk through life we often have Christ's hands lifting us up and occasionally carrying us. John 3: 16-17 16 ¶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Joshua 1:9 also tells of his love. In short, the Atonement is Christ taking upon himself the sins and afflictions of the world. He did this so we could progress and be cleansed from mistakes of the past. Ultimately to return to him and our Heavenly Father again. Show more Show less
