Hi I'm Becca

I'm from Moab. I'm a soon-to-be-missionary and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have always loved singing-- when I was a toddler my mom would play the piano and I would sing along. I became very active in my high school's musical productions and played the lead my senior year. I auditioned for a choir in college and was surprised to find that I was actually accepted! It has changed my life; singing praises about Jesus Christ really allows me to open my heart to others. I also love the Spanish language! I'm about to take my fifth year, and I hope to study abroad to learn more about the culture, language and people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find joy in living the teachings of Jesus Christ. Everything He wants for us leads us to peace and happiness. I didn't always know that for myself, but as I "tried His words" and worked to study the scriptures and say my prayers every day, I have come to know for myself that Jesus is the Christ and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church upon the earth today. I have felt the desire within me grow, and I want to share that knowledge with others because Heavenly Father wants all of His children to return to Him. In 2013, my baby sister passed away, and it was really difficult to deal with such a loss, but with the help of Jesus Christ's Atonement, I found a peace in knowing that I will see her again. Death is not permanent, and with Christ, our grief and sorrow can be turned to peace and joy.

How I live my faith

More than anything, I love going to the temple. It's the place where I feel closest to Heavenly Father, and it helps me know that He loves me, and everyone. I lead the music in church every Sunday, and I go visit two of the girls in my ward every month. I've learned that a lot of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is about loving the people around you. The more I come to know the people around me, the more I realize how precious they are in God's sight.
