Hi I'm Madi

I grew up in Hurricane, Utah. I am the oldest of six children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student. I am working on getting all of my general education done before I leave on my mission. I'm not sure what I want to major in quite yet. Some of my favorite hobbies are: playing the piano, reading, hiking, camping, and playing basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have always known that the gospel is true and have never doubted it. I love the gospel and the way it makes me feel when I continue to learn of it and follow its teachings. I have felt for myself the love that God has for me. I know that he knows me personally and loves me, and the comfort I have received from that knowledge is beyond what words can explain. I know that God lives and loves each and every one of his children. I know that he hears and answers our prayers. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins and was resurrected so that we could rise again also. I know that he loves us and that he is our perfect example that we should strive to become more like. I know that Joseph Smith restored the church of God. He translated the Book of Mormon and brought priesthood power back to the earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet of God and that he receives current revelation from our Heavenly Father. I know that if we are obedient to his teachings that we can come closer to Christ. This is my testimony of the gospel. Without it, I would be a completely different person and I would not be the person that I am today. This gospel has changed my life and continues to change it every day. I know of myself that these things are true and hope that others can learn of these truths as well.

How I live my faith

Before coming to college, I helped teach three and four year old children about the gospel in what we call Sunbeams. They were a handful, but also a lot of fun! Now, I attend all my meetings and my religion class (Institute), but I have no specific calling currently. I am also involved in inter-mural basketball at the college and do my best to be a good example to the people around me.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, we do not worship Joseph Smith. He was a Prophet of God. We respect him as he was an instrument in the Lord's hand to restore our church. We worship God the Eternal Father and his son, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
