Hi I'm Vernice Winn

I grew up in Howell, Utah. I graduated from Utah State University. I am married and have four children and 15 grandchildren.

About Me

I grew up on a dry land wheat farm and learned to love working the land with my family. I met my husband at Utah State University. We both have taught school and have our own small ranch. The love of the land and animals has always been a big part of my life. Working together with our children has kept us close. I enjoy reading and crocheting and participating in gospel centered activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It has always felt right. The spirit has whispered to me many times that what I was hearing or doing was right. No matter where I have been, being a member of HIs Church has felt like being a member of a big extended family with a loving Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have held many callings in the church in my seventy one years of life. The callings that I have enjoyed the most have been in the church's women organization-the Relief Society. I have enjoyed teaching young people and adults as well. Going to church has always been important to me and I know that the Gospel of Jesus has had a major influence on the decisions I have made in my life. I have also been involved in community activities. I was a 4-H horse leader for over 25 years and have served as a worker in the County Fair for over 40 years.
