Hi I'm Shana

Hello! My name is Shana. I grew up in beautiful Arizona, I am the youngest of ten children, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the wonderful state of Arizona. The youngest of ten children, family has always been very important to me. My father passed away when I was six years old. Looking back, I am in awe of how my mother lovingly raised us by herself. In college I studied business and religion. A strange sounding combination, I know, but in addition to learning the important principles a business degree can offer I felt it equally important to understand other persons perspectives on life by learning about other religions. I loved seeing the different ways around the world people expressed their devotion to God. In one of these religion classes I met my husband. He has been blessing my life ever since! Now I work to support my husband through law school and look forward to having children in the near future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ultimately because it brings me happiness. I find hope in the plan of salvation. I know that through Christ my sins can be forgiven and I can return to be with our Heavenly Father again. Because of my temple marriage to my husband I am sealed to him for eternity and will have him as my support and companion always. When I go to church each week I know that I am surrounded by a community of people who are also doing their best to follow Christ's example and who are willing to help each other in whatever trials we my be facing. Being a Mormon has blessed my life in more ways than I can count.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live my faith by following Christ's example and being kind to others. Currently I attend a Spanish speaking congregation where I teach a class of six and seven year olds. I love being around these sweet spirits and seeing their enthusiasm for learning about Christ.
