Hi I'm Christina

I am one of eight siblings, I love playing sports, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

While growing up I played soccer, but was looking for some change when I entered high school. I tried out for the volleyball team and ended up playing all four years! I loved playing for my high school team. I graduated and am now a freshman in college. College is definitely a different experience that has been difficult, but in many ways it has helped me grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. My parents, my grandparents, and my ancestors are members of the church. When I turned 8 I was baptized by immersion which did not give me an automatic testimony. I was eight. I knew the basics about the church, but I was not truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I always leaned on the testimonies of my parents and leaders in the church, but I never really knew for myself. As I moved away to go to college I found myself having a difficult time. Keeping my faith in God and Jesus Christ became difficult because I was on my own without my parents testimonies standing by me every second of everyday. But moving away has been the best way to strengthen my testimony and help me with a true conversion to this amazing church. There is a lot that happens in this life. Many challenges arise and circumstances can be extremely difficult. I am a Mormon because when situations like that come I know I am not alone. I know that our Heavenly Father loves each of us individually and He is constantly looking out for us. He gives us trials so that we can learn and grow. Without this gospel I would feel completely and utterly alone. I wouldn't have any reason to hope. That is why I put my faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. God is real. If anyone is questioning this or feels alone, please know that you are loved. God will not leave you alone through anything you are going through. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. Our Savior Jesus Christ was the greatest example of loving everyone for who they are and who they can become. I try my best everyday to serve others, reach out to those in need, and to love unconditionally. I find that the best way to live my faith is to look out for others and their needs. Everyone deserves to be cared for and loved!
