Hi I'm Alyssa

I am a choir nerd and a student. I love hot chocolate, piles of books, and being with people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born to two amazing parents. My mom and dad always say that I was born singing. I have participated in choirs both singing and accompanying on piano for years. I am finishing up my first year of college and I am still clueless of what I want to study. I am a dreamer and I have a wild imagination. I always have some sort of story plot for a book (that I have yet to write) brewing in my head. I love the sun and flowers fascinate me. One of my biggest dreams would be to travel the world and do humanitarian work. One of my passions is American Signed Language and I study it currently at school.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always grown up in an LDS home. My family weekly attends church, prays and reads scriptures together, and participates in youth activities. For me the reason that I chose to be a Mormon is because of the Book of Mormon. I read it for the first time when I was in 8th grade and I gained a testimony of the truth of that book and the truth of the church. Living the gospel has blessed my life in countless ways. I know that it is the true church. I have chosen to serve as a missionary and will be heading out into the "mission field" in a few month to share the truth, light, and knowledge that I have come to know.

How I live my faith

I am in a young single adult student ward at the moment. I play piano for the choir and I also play the piano for the women's meeting. I have the opportunity to visit two girls in my ward monthly and give them a message about the gospel. I also participate in family history work.
