Hi I'm Ken

I live in Virginia. I'm on a mission in Las Vegas. I like to write poems and short-stories. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love computers to the extent that I dream of being a computer scientist. I want to specialize in graphics design and Automated Intelligence and my end goal is to have my own video-game company that only makes video-games that are rated T or lower. I also love to write stories. As of right now I have only written a couple of short-stories and a handful of poems, but I plan on writing at least one full-length novel and publishing it. I have gone on a humanitarian trip to Peru once and was able to help complete several greenhouses and meet some of the elementary students there. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because the gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to become who I am today. And I'm currently on a Mission in Las Vegas Nevada.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Yet for a large portion of my life I couldn't tell whether or not I actually believed the church to be true. This questioning and the accompanying anxiety followed me all the way until I got to college where through the influence of my new friends and my family I finally knelt down to pray to our Heavenly Father. He answered my prayer by telling me that He is there, He does love everyone, including myself, and that He does want me to be in this church. I love my Heavenly Father and the guidance he has given to me and I strive to show others His love for them and how strongly he desires them to be happy and feel of his love.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by being a missionary and doing my best to tell others about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can help bless their lives and bring them joy.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Ken
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is when Jesus Christ went into the Garden of Gethsemane to suffer for the sins of all people who ever have or ever will set foot on the world. The Atonement also encompasses when he was later crucified on a cross. This act, performed by our Savior, allows us all to repent of our past sins and become better people each and every day of our lives. It also allows us to ask Him for help and guidance in our efforts to do so. Yet most importantly it gives us all the opportunity to once again live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, after we pass from this world. If it weren't for the Atonement we would never be able to be made clean after we sin. If we can't be made clean after we sin, we can't return to live with our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
