Hi I'm Ryan From Utah

I am serving a mission for the church in Piura, Perú. I am a normal person just trying to better this world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a small town in Utah. My likes and interests include hunting, fishing, basketball, and snowboarding. My family consists of me and 3 older brothers, 3 sister-in-laws, and 2 nephews. And of course there is my wonderful parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I personally KNOW that it is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and I took Moroni's Promise(Moroni 10:3-5) to ask Heavenly Father sincerely if it is true. The spirit overcame me and bore witness to me that this book was true. And if this book is true everything below it is true; Joseph Smith was a true prophet, God restored the Priesthood to this earth, there is a living Prophet, the Plan of Salvation IS real. This is a Gospel of Happiness and Peace. The knowledge of the Plan of Salvation is what brings happiness to me. I know that through the Plan of Salvation I can be with my family and live with Our Father in Heaven once again. I also take joy in knowing that because of the act of love that Jesus Christ showed by completing the Atonement, I can be forgiven of everything that I have ever done wrong.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being as obedient to the Lord's commandments as I can. I strive to live according to the way that the Savior taught. I strive everyday to use the Atonement of Jesus Christ to little by little become better every single day. Through his sacrifice we have the opportunity to Repent and be forgiven. To leave behind what we have done. To Clear the slate with the power of his precious blood which he bled for us. I live my faith through the works of My Savior Jesus Christ.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Ryan From Utah
The Book of Mormon is a sacred record of the inhabitants of the Americas around 600 B.C. to 400 A.D. It contains the writings of the Prophets that lived in the Americas during this time. Their lives were different from ours, but the writings pertain to everyone that has ever lived or will live. The Facts of this life will always be unchanging. There are ups and downs, there are difficulties. Families don't get along, neighbors don't get along. People have trials. But on the other hand, People feel happiness, have success, and find the true joy in this life. The Book of Mormon passes through many of these experiences and will help us find the aid that we need in our very darkest hours. After the Prophets had written their words, they would pass the plates upon which the book was written to their successor. And it was passed until it reached the Prophet Moroni. He compiled all of the stories of each prophet into one book, which we know today as The Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
