Hi I'm Jacob Riddle

I live in Texas in the U.S.A. I am a family history consultant and love teaching about family history. I am Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I like to go hunting and shooting. One of my many interest is to shoot guns and teach others how to shoot. Mostly I shoot handguns and rifles. I also love doing family history work and teaching people how to find their family and the history around their family. I have found through doing family history work that I have a Scottish king on my dad's side. This sparked my interest in all things Scottish including owning a kilt. I also love to listen to all kinds of music from the 1920s to now including Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Queen, Police, U2, Allan Jackson, George Straight, and more. I love working out side and raising animals. In High School, I was in FFA and was also an FFA historian in my High School's chapter. I played the euphonium in Band in High School and Middle School for 6 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and it really hit me when I was deciding to go on a mission. I felt it was true and I prayed about the Book of Mormon and about Joseph Smith and new it was true. That this Gospel is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I live it because I know it to be true and knowing this is why I decided to go on a mission for the church. I felt that other people who are not members of this church should have the opportunity to feel the happiness and comfort of the gospel. The Gospel has truly blessed my life and the lives of those around me. I have seen it bless peoples' lives as they have come to know it.

How I live my faith

I am a Family history consultant witch means I teach and and help others find out about their family history. I work mostly with the youth and get them started and interested in doing it. I did not have to go to school to become a family history consultant. I had an interest in doing it and was later asked to become a consultant. I love teaching it and helping others find their ancestors because I feel it brings me closer to my family that has passed away and my many ancestors that came before me.
