Hi I'm Landy Eaton

I grew up in the middle of no where in Lusk, Wyoming. I love the landscape that our Heavenly Father has blessed us with.

About Me

I grew up out in the sticks for most of my life. It's where I call home. It's where I made most of my memories. I call Wyoming my home state. Growing up in very rural Wyoming was hard, but it has its pros. I wouldn't change where I grew up. I come from a branch of about 30 people. Half of it consists of cute little old couples that have some of the funniest and most spiritual stories you'll ever hear. My branch right now has 6 Young Men and no Young Women. We don't have a set of missionaries in our branch. A good portion of any branch or ward has the normal 3 hour Sunday block, but my branch only goes for 2 hours. My entire High School is around 100 kids. I graduated from a class of about 30 students. I love to be outside. I love the beauty of the landscape that our Heavenly Father has blessed us with. Every country and state has its own beauty. I love to be around my familia. We have our ups and downs, but we still have smiles on our faces and joke around with each other. Some of my hobbies are horseback riding, outdoor activities, and welding.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? The ones who were born into the church, we all have one thing in common as to why we are Mormons. We were raised in the church, taught that this is the true church. Something that gives us a foundation. But as we get older, we all go our own ways to figure out why we are part of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and have our testimonies grow. The reason why I am a Mormon is because of course I was raised in it, but also because the spiritual experiences I have had enabled me to build my own testimony. I don't know how to explain it, but once you have a true, uplifting, spiritual experience, provided by knowledge gained through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, you recognize that it is different from any other church you have been with. You will feel it within you, that this is the true church.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? We all have our own struggles in life. Whether it be spiritually, mentally, or physically, we can't deny that we don't have one single struggle in our life. Our prophet and apostles, past or present, have taught us to help those who are in need of help. To help the poor, the widows, and the fatherless. Take Jesus Christ for an example. He did what His father in heaven commanded Him to do. He healed the sick, helped the blind see again, and much, much more. Everybody and anybody that was around him, that believed in Him and God above, was happy and their spirits were filled with joy. But then you have the opposite: Satan working against all that is good, which leads to hatred and confusion towards the Son of God. I try to live up to His example by not judging another person because of the color of their skin, heritage, age, gender, or weight, or even the way they worship God. The way I like to look at the world is each person is a puzzle piece to a bigger picture. We may not get along with each other, but we do some how some way come together. Here's a story that I like to share. Me and brother got into some trouble a few summers ago and we had to help this little, not so old, cripple lady buck 15 tons of hay. We then started to train and ride her horses that hadn't been riden in 6 years because of an accident with a horse that almost paralyzed her for life. Luckily, she can walk, but not too well. We began to bond and eventually inspired her to get back on her horse. Well, one evening, the neighbors cattle broke into her pasture. For the first time since her accident, she got up on her horse and drove the cattle off of her land. The next day she told us what had happened and said "because of what you and your brothers have taught me and because of your kindness, I had the courage and faith to get back on my horse." So be nice to others. It'll make a difference to the people in your life that are missing a piece to their puzzle.
