Hi I'm Pamela

I grew up moving back and forth from Mexico to Utah to Peru. I am majoring in Exercise Science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, and I am studying Exercise Science. I am fascinated by the beauty of the human body and I hope to one day be a physical therapist. I love to play the piano, particularly anything that has to do with Disney or musicals (the Phantom of the Opera is my favorite!). I also enjoy playing the flute, reading and playing with my dog when I'm not away at college.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents raised me in this gospel, when I was around 13 I started having doubts as to whether or not I was really in the true church. I began to pray about it so I could rely less on my parents' testimony and know for myself whether or not I was in the right gospel. I can't say the exact time or date that I received a confirmation that this was the true church; it was definitely more of a gradual process. The more I chose to act on what I had been taught in this church, even if I wasn't always 100% convinced, (such not drinking alcoholic beverages, praying, reading the scriptures, etc.), I began to see blessings in my life and I began to feel the Holy Ghost more and more. One day I just woke up and realized that I had a testimony of my own, and that I had had it for a while. Now I can honestly say that I believe, more than anything, that Christ lives and He is my Savior. Through Him and His Atonement, we can all return to Heavenly Father's presence. I know that I am in the true church on this earth, and the teachings of this gospel have brought immense joy to my life, and it is what has gotten me through difficult times. I can't imagine my life if I wasn't a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Before I received my call to serve a mission, I played the piano at certain church meetings, and visited a couple of young women about once a month to see how they were doing and help them with anything they might need. I also attend church every week, read the scriptures, pray, and I try to live the teachings of this Gospel as best as I can.
