Hi I'm Hannah

I grew up in Utah. I love to sing, read and write stories. I will be serving in the Romania/Moldova mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I completed my first semester of college majoring in English Education. I have always loved reading and writing stories and poetry and I hope to one day teach students to gain this love for literature. I also love to sing and have had the opportunity to perform in both school and church choirs. I am 19 years old and will soon be serving a mission in Romania and Moldova.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was taught by wonderful and loving parents and leaders in my youth, and they taught me the importance of gaining a witness of the truth for myself. As I have turned to the Lord through scripture study, prayer, and obeying His commandments, the Lord has blessed me. I have felt the Holy Ghost many times in my heart, bearing witness that the Church of Jesus Christ is true. I am by no means perfect, but I know that because my Savior Jesus Christ took upon himself the sins and pains of all mankind, that I can get up when I fall and keep moving on the path that leads to eternal happiness. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. I know that I am the daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me and all His children so much He was willing to send His Only Begotten Son to come to Earth, atone, die and live again so that we may live with Him again. This knowledge has brought me so much joy and I know that the best way to show the Lord that I am thankful for this witness is to be the disciple He can be proud of and bring others to the knowledge that through this truth, we can find everlasting joy.

How I live my faith

Ever since I knew that I should serve a mission, I have done all that I can to prepare to be the missionary that the Lord can be proud of. College was something that helped me to prepare, it gave me the opportunity to meet new people and be self-reliant, but to also work with others. I was also able to spend a lot of time reading the scriptures and turning to the Lord in prayer. That helped me a great deal because I was able to recognize the Spirit when I aligned my will to the Lord's. I know that serving a mission is what the Lord wants me to do, because there are many of His children who have not had the opportunity to hear the good news of the restored gospel. Everything about the gospel has brought me great happiness and I know that if I love the people I will teach with the pure love of Christ and keep faith and hope in my heart, then the people of Romania and Moldova will be able to feel that same joy, which doesn't fade with time, but lasts forever.
