Hi I'm Travis

I am a husband, a father and a teacher. I teach math and write math curriculum. I grew up on a farm in Utah and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and enjoy spending time with them. I love learning and seeing others learn. I have been a math teacher for fifteen years and love seeing students grow in their ability to reason and solve problems. I have been fortunate in my career to be involved with many great individuals and provided with several exceptional opportunities to receive training and provide insights of my own. I know that all I have and enjoy is a blessing and I am grateful for it.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel and the Lord. I have had several experiences during my life that have built my faith and strengthened my testimony as to the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and its fullness that has been restored through modern day prophets. I have the best wife and family that anyone could ever ask for and I thank the Lord for the opportunity that we have to be together for ever beyond this life. The restoration of the priesthood that provides the authority for us to participate in temple blessing as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a huge blessing in my life. I will never forget the feelings I had when I knelt across from my wife and was married for all eternity by one holding authority to seal us together, not only for this life but, for the eternity. Our children are a huge blessing in our life and bring so much happiness. No matter the difficulties that come and the trials that we all must face while here on earth I know that peace can be found through Jesus Christ and his atonement. The teachings of Christ and a living prophet that leads and guides us today according to the will of Christ and our Heavenly Father bring me peace and comfort.

How I live my faith

I love working with the members of my church. I am fortunate to serve them and meet with them regularly. I have benefited from the service they render to me and the service I reciprocate to them. We have an amazing organizational structure in the church. It is a testament to the truthfulness of the restoration that we have the same organization that the Lord, Jesus Christ, established during his ministry and we are able to serve one another in his kingdom here on earth. All members of the church benefit from participation in the church and severing in callings and my experience is that through serving one another we are able to become more Christlike.
