Hi I'm Emilia Cox

I'm a sister, daughter, aunt, and a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college, and just came home from serving a mission. I come from a large family, and wouldn't have it any other way. I am a performer in many ways. I love putting on plays, singing in choirs, and anything that has to do with performing. But even though I love to perform, I am a very quiet and shy person naturally. I'd rather be in the background when it comes to parties.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church. But I had to go through the conversion process the same as anyone. I continue to go to church and be a faithful member because of experiences, and trials I have had to go through. I have learned of the joy the gospel brings to my life. One specific time in my life I decided to live my life however I wanted. This time was a very dark, and sad time for me. As I began to open my heart to the teachings of the gospel, and implemented regular scripture study, and attending all of my church meetings, I found I was a lot happier. As I grew older, and started to live the teachings of our modern prophets, and those in the scriptures, especially those of Jesus Christ, I found my life getting better and happier. I have prayed for a witness, and have received many reassuring me, that this is the gospel of Christ, here in its fullness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving and sharing with those I come in contact with. I actively participate in all church classes. I follow the council of our church leaders. I read from the scriptures daily, as well as talking to my Heavenly Father. I am not ashamed to share with others what I believe and how this knowledge has blessed me.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Emilia Cox
I am a Mormon woman. We believe that both men and women have an important role in both this church and life in general. Although we are equal, we have different roles. What we strive to do is work together, as equal partners. Both genders have God given talents, and abilities and we are encouraged to use these to help those around us. Show more Show less
