Hi I'm Britney

I'm from a family of 8. I have an obsession with running. I love the outdoors. But most of all, I love being Mormon.

About Me

I am the 5th child of 6, all girls but one. I was born and raised in the Utah until I was 15, half of my family moved to Arizona. I love the heat. I absolutely can't go a day without being active. From running on the canals, jumping off cliffs into the lake, to hiking up mountains. I will admit that I have an amazing family they are the best of the best, siblings, cousins, a niece, and other relatives who I owe so much to for always loving me and being the great examples that I need in my life. I also am in love with music, I love playing hymn arrangements on the piano to take me away. I am going to college where I am studying exercise physiology where I learn about the human body. Learning about these things opens my eyes to how genius our Father in Heaven is to have created this. I try to focus on the good. The glass is always half-full.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, not because it was how I was raised, or because that was what my parents taught me. I am a member of this Church of Jesus Christ because I have seen the blessings that the Gospel brings. When I see those I love who don't have it, it breaks my heart. This knowledge I have makes me who I am and is what keeps me moving forward. It is my motivation, my reason for trying again after I fall. When we follow Christ's example and do all that we can, He will do the rest. I am Mormon because I know that our whole goal on earth is to become like God. He can see our potential, so I look to this gospel to find answers for how I need to live so that I can reach that potential, and make my Father have joy in me, His daughter.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being grateful for all the blessings in my life. Some people waste their days, wishing for better and wanting what others have. There is always something to be grateful for, and I know that the gospel is what brings us the lasting happiness. When I am having a bad day or find it hard to be happy, I remember that I have a Father who cares about me and loves me for who I am. On a bad day, I prayed to my God for help. I went out for a run, and I looked into the sky. There before me was the most beautiful sunrise I had ever seen. Right then, I decided that God has a plan for each of us, we need to just trust in Him, and appreciate the beauty around us and have hope that all will turn out in the end. This gospel has changed my life so much, and I want it to change other's lives too so they can see the reality of it all. I am 19, so I get asked a lot if I am going to serve a mission. At first, I didn't want to get out of my comfort zone. Then, as my testimony grew, I realized that I need to serve a mission. My Father has blessed me so much, and it is the least I can do to show Him my gratitude for His tender mercies and love. Not only to serve my God, but also to show others that they can have this joy too. With patience, faith, and optimism, miracles can and do happen.
